Digital Skills

During your Pathstream certificate program, you’ll be required to navigate your web browser and common online applications such as Google Workspace, Zoom, Google Calendar, and more. At Pathstream we’re committed to helping you feel confident as you make progress in your courses. To help you, we’ve compiled a list of practical digital skills and divided them into three categories: Important, Recommended, and Helpful Skills.

At any point during your Pathstream journey you may return to this resources hub to refresh your digital skill set.

Types of Skills

Important Skills

These skills are necessary for you to familiarize yourself with, and they will appear most frequently throughout your Pathstream certificate journey. They include, but are not limited to, Google suite, Zoom, Calendly, and password management. 

 

Recommended Skills

These skills are highly recommended and are commonly used across many industries. They include: browser basics, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and how to use keyboard shortcuts.

Helpful Skills

Consider these skills “nice to have.” While they will not directly come up in your Pathstream certificate program, they are useful to know and will further improve your online experience. They include: using Grammarly, using Slack, and email best practices.

Important Skills

Google Workspace

Google Workspace is a suite of tools that can help you be more productive and collaborative in your personal and professional life. You’ll use some of these tools in your Pathstream experience and likely beyond as well.

Calendly / Zoom for Office Hours

Calendly is a scheduling software, and how you’ll sign up for Office Hours. Zoom is a software that allows you to participate in video meetings. Pathstream’s Office Hours are hosted on Zoom.
