In the next few years, millions of jobs* will require knowledge of Salesforce. At Pathstream, we have partnered with Trailhead, Salesforce’s online library of educational resources, to create a learning experience where students can work directly in the Salesforce software itself. Our Salesforce Administrator Career Certificate allows students to learn the real-world skills they need to become a Salesforce admin — a critical role in the Salesforce ecosystem.

But what about students who aren’t sure if they want a career as a Salesforce admin?

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Coursera to help provide digital, job-relevant skills training to students who are interested in the fundamentals of Salesforce. Together with Coursera, we have leveraged our expertise, learning design, and partnership with Trailhead to create the Salesforce Sales Operations Specialist Professional Certificate, live on Coursera now.

“Entry-level training programs, such as the Salesforce Sales Operations Professional Certificate, can help learners pursue new careers created by digital transformation,” said Betty Vandenbosch, Chief Content Officer at Coursera. “We’re pleased to collaborate with Pathstream and Salesforce to launch an accessible, fully-online program that equips learners of all backgrounds with the necessary digital skills to enter in-demand roles.”

This certificate is designed for beginners. No previous experience in Salesforce, sales, or CRM is necessary to be successful. Through four courses, students will learn the fundamentals of CRM, how to manage leads in Salesforce, how to manage opportunities in Salesforce, how to use Salesforce to ensure customer success, and how to effectively leverage Salesforce data through reports and dashboards.

Additionally, these courses will help students determine if the Salesforce Administrator path is right for them. They will then be able to enroll in a 10-week Pathstream program designed to take graduates of the Coursera program to the next level, where they will gain technical skills needed for sales, business development and customer success roles, and receive 1:1 career support and introductions to recruiters to land a Salesforce job.

Students can take any or all of the certificate courses, which include:

  1. Sales and CRM Overview: Designed for beginners, this course teaches the foundational skills in Salesforce that will prepare students for a variety of entry-level sales roles, including the sales operations specialist position.
  2. Lead Management in Salesforce: this course shows how a sales operations specialist would support a marketing associate and sales development representative to make the lead management more effective and efficient.
  3. Opportunity Management in Salesforce: this course shows how a sales operations specialist would support account executives and empower them to progress opportunities through a sales pipeline and close sales deals as effectively and efficiently as possible.
  4. Reports, Dashboards, and Customer Success in Salesforce: this course goes into more depth on how a sales operations specialist would use Salesforce Service Cloud to support a variety of different customer service needs, including the basics of effective customer support, and new tools available in the Salesforce Service Cloud to effectively manage customer relationships.

The new content from Pathstream on Coursera is designed for students who are hungry for affordable, effective, career education.
